i'm looking to replace my razer diamondback that i despise. it's too narrow, side buttons feel like crap, and it gets all sticky and builds up gunk too fast.

i've been eyeing the G9 mouse and it's the shape that i want. the only issue is the price. i want to get one as soon as it becomes a bit more affordable (probably when a new logitech model comes out). can someone vouch for these mice? good or bad reviews welcomed. thanks.

I just got the G9 and love it. I went from a DeathAdder to the G9. The DeathAdder was good, but I prefer a smaller mouse. Plus, the software for the G9 is awesome.

Deathadder or G9, both excellent mice. G9 gets the nod for a better build quality and button feel. Deathadder will become gunky quicker, on the side buttons and in on the sides in general. G9 will get gunky first on the top buttons, I haven't noticed anything on the sides yet. This is a big plus for the G9, if you have issues with that.

Was looking at picking up a G9, but learned that uberOptions does not work with it since uberOptions isn't compatible with SetPoint 5. Can the middle click (pressing the scroll wheel in as a button) be configured to do the Win+D key combo?

i like the size and bulk of the G9. i always preferred bigger mice for some reason. G9 is bigger than the razer mice, right?

oh serious? ok then is the deathadder bigger than my diamondback? diamondback isn't too small or anything, but it's definitely too narrow for my tastes. i want something fatter.

The DeathAdder is wider and longer than the Diamondback.

The Setpoint software now allows you to customize the middle button. I haven't used Uberoptions in a long time.

i've gone through a few laser mice and currently have a g9. i don't really notice much difference between them besides the way they feel/fir in my hand.

Logitech just replaced my MX Revolution with a G9. I like the G9 so far. Got a mouse bungee to hold its cord up and it feels like I'm using a wireless mouse.

Got a question about the textured grip that comes with it though. Is there not supposed to be a mouse foot on the bottom of the side where the thumb usually rests? The rubberized grip has a mouse foot there, but my textured grip doesn't.

My mistake. Neither the textured or rubberized grip has a foot on the bottom of the side the thumb rests on.

The problem with my textured grip is that the side that does not have the foot (the side the thumb rests on) is a little too tall / is not flush with the bottom of the mouse. So when I use it, it drags on the surface and makes the G9 feel like it has no mouse feet.

Has anyone else noticed this with the textured grip or is my textured grip simply defective?
