Logitech G7 can't back on FIREFOX

I use the thumb button a lot for backing (websurfing) on firefox, it doesn't work on firebox but it works on IE. Anyone know whassup?

edit: my thumb button was set to back and it can only back in IE but not firefox for some reason.
 
Just that it's another button on the mouse, I think. Who knows why Logitech called it that. I don't know, but I don't care because that works. Maybe someone else here has some more information on that.
 
I don't run the logitech drives for my mouse and keyboard anyways the only bad thing is when i startup my comp i have to press the + dpi to change the dpi to 1600 but it really doesn't bother me
