A few days ago I posted about getting a new gaming mouse and have been looking at the G7 alot, I like the fact that you don't have to deal with wires, but I have a concern about battery life.

I spend anywhere from 4-12 hours a day at my rig doing everything from gaming, to schoolwork and research. spending that much time on the rig, how ofthen would I usually have to change the batteries?

the batteries on a g7 go pretty quick, but they give you 2, one for the mouse and one for the charger, so one is always ready to go. Love the mouse, just wish there were 2 buttons on the side. :(

i can get a good days worth of on of usage. If I play solidly straight through, I think around the 8 to 10 hour mark I need to swap them. It takes only seconds so it doesnt matter to me. I love the mouse

I do about 12 straigt hours of use with the mouse, I do have to change the battery, but I have NEVER had a time where I didn't have battery power. There are two li-ion batteries, one stays in the charger, and another is in the mouse. A battery can be fully charged in under 4 hours, and you cannot wear out a battery in less than 4 hours.

The batteries are "hot-swappable" meaning you can take the batter out of the charger and put it in the mouse, and not have to restart or push any specials buttons. Put the battery in and go.

I highly suggest this mouse, especially at $65 shipped > http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=211157
