Isn't "Wireless" and "Gaming" mouse in the same phrase kind of an oxymoron? Who games with a wireless mouse?

Edit: That said, it claims to have "11 programmable buttons", which should be awesome for productivity / photoshop style work.

I've gamed on wireless mice for over a decade. the MX1000, the MX revolution and the MX700s as well as a Razer Mamba, Ive been a hardcore gamer for a very long time and can honestly say that while the lower end wireless mice are laggy turds, the higher end ones are imperceptible from wired.

The main complaint I have with the G700 is it uses 1 x AA rechargeable so you can easily need to swap batteries during a long night or weekend day of gaming.

This says it comes with 2 x AA so that's hopefully not a problem. At this price they're probably alkaline and you'll need to supply your own eneloops.

Yes it comes with regular AA's. It will also run on a single AA if you find it too heavy with two. I used one of these for a very long time with rechargeable AA's. Even with heavy use for gaming (BF4 and such) and general pc use the batteries lasted weeks and not days.

*note, I never ran it with one battery so I have no idea how long it lasts that way.
