Logitech G502 is awesome

Had right clicking issues with my G700, so replaced it with the new G502 and this thing is awesome. Worth every cent of $80.00.

Been looking at the G502 for a while now. Was initially turned off by the look, thinking it looked like some Saitek monstrosity, but once I got over that, my biggest concern is the two buttons on the side of the Left mouse button.

The G700's buttons there were raised, and I liked the tactile feel of those, but the G502's seem to be flush with the Left mouse button. Is it hard sometimes to distinguish where those two extra buttons are, and do you sometimes hit them by accident?

I have never hit them by accident and there is a nice ridge between them so you can tell them apart. Also, the tactile feel of all buttons on the G502 is much better than the G700 I replaced. The buttons have a very crisp click to them. My G700's in comparison feel mushy and hard to click. G700 is still great, but nothing like this.

Do you rest your ring finger on the lip to the right of the right button or on the side? I just returned a 602 because I couldn't find a comfortable place for my ring and pinky finger.

Also, is the 502 brand new? It doesn't appear to be in stock at Best Buy or Amazon.

Its brand new. I think it was released on 4-8-14, just a couple weeks ago.
I rest my ring and pinky fingers on the right side, below the ridge. I never thought about it until you asked me, but those two fingers are on the mouse pad. It feels really comfortable and solid for my hand, but these things are so subjective. Everyone is different.
Also, I got mine at Best Buy. If you live near a Best Buy, do a web search for that store to make sure its in stock and go down there. I was able to hold the floor sample in my hand and I knew right then that I was going to buy it. It has this rubber grip that makes it stick to your hand solid.

It looks awesome , but will there be a wireless version of this?

Not sure, but my guess is that they will do a remake of the G700 like this. That would be nice. Personally, I got tired of recharging and having to plug and unplug the stupid thing. I eventually left it plugged in.

I was looking at this mouse too, but I've decided to go for a Corsair M95. It's around 110 bucks, but the slide buttons worth all the money.

That's like asking for a wired version of a car.

High-performance wireless mice don't exist.

Actually newer wireless mouses are quite fine.
Maybe if the user is pro gamer , he may not like it , but for the rest of us, they are more than acceptable.

Quite fine does not a performance mouse make.

Given that your avatar is that of a mouse, I'd suppose you know your stuff. The truth is though, the Logitech G700 has a 1000hz polling rate in wireless mode, the same as the best wired gaming mice. Reviewers tested it for lag and latency and none could be detected. This kills battery life though and it got to be a real pain in the ass.

How does it compare to the G602?

602 is wireless and weighs more I think. The 602 sensor is not as good as the G502, so the 502 is more accurate and will track better. The 502 is the world's most disgustingly awesome mouse, while the 602 is not.

That's why you need a hands-free Cheeto delivery system; like those water bottles used by hamsters, but for Cheetos.

Apples to oranges comparison. If FPS is your thing defiantly G502. In the realm of RPG/ARPG G602 really shines. I own G602 couldn't be happier. I would say its best cordless mouse out on the market right now. Logitech has done a great job with the new line.

Owning a Logitech mouse is like having a baby. Yours is always the cutest. I used the G700 for a few years and it was the best thing ever. Now the G502 is the best thing ever. I never even knew about the 602 and I admit it looks awesome. It came after the G700 right? Isn't the 602 a newer mouse?

Yeah. G602 has better battery life And optical sensor. I agree 502 has the best sensor. I bought 3 mice and returned 2 ( SS Rival , g502 and 602). Like I said the 602 was perfect for me because I play a lot ARPG's.

Why do you think the 602 is better than the 502 for ARPGs?
