logitech g500 wobbly scroll wheel?

Just got my g500 and the scroll wheel is really loose.

I think it was made that way by design but I'd just like to confirm.

Like if i move the mouse left/right fairly quickly like looking around fast in a fps, i can hear the middle wheel wobbling.

Hmm just tested with mine and it made a sound...
I then tested by holding the wheel still and the buttons down... still made that sound.

Normally I have the settings high enough that I never need to move my mouse that fast.

side to side on the g500 is ment to be as it is a button press (one to the left and another when pressing to the right).

Though depends on "loose". Mine is has riggle room, but need to push a bit more to get the button to trigger. Though I found it enouing so un-mapped those buttons through the software.

edit: and this is besides the normal down press to trigger a button press or the scrolling of the wheel which is effected by the button changing the wheel from free scrolling or clicking per small movement.

Makes the scroll wheel more of a joystick given the number of different directions it can move in.

You mean that button that changes between freewheel and normal scroll mode? LOL, it's a feature... freewheel can be nice for scrolling long documents with minimal effort.
