I am using Logitech G500 for around 10months now…. And everytime I face the same problem.

Within month or two, the mouse starts skipping when I try to drag the cursor, couldn’t resize windows properly and couldn’t select a single word from a sentence.
The cord on all the mouse never got damaged and mouse itself was in pristine condition.
So most G500 is problematic which Logitech is not solving?

PS: Problem occurs on different computers as well.

Logitech is very good about replacing defective hardware. Most of the time they'll just ask for the model number and serial number (probably on the bottom of the mouse), and will often ship you a new one. Occasionally they'll ask for some kind of proof of purchase (invoice from where you bought it) or for you to ship the old one back.

Logitech is definitely great with customer service.

I hunted down the issue.... All the problems i am facing is bacause of the Left-Click button going bad. Now i use the mouse normally, and never faced such issue with any other mice b4 and even not all ppl keep on facing such issue so its probably not tht all G500 is faulty... So whts making all of 4 mouse to inherit exact same defect ??

I really would like to know, coz even the 5th mouse which i will get will have same problem within a month :-(

PS: I dont press any buttons hard and take care good.

If you are having the same problem with just about every g500 you get, it would be user error in my opinion. I have used logitech mice for YEARS and have never had any issues. Anytime there is an issue it is usually cord related and logitech has replaced the mouse no questions asked.

Unless you're buying them from the same store, I doubt that it's a defective batch of units. Or if you are, return the G500 and buy it from somewhere else, or get it replaced by Logitech.

I have a friend that had similar problems with his logitech mouse....he told me that he was able to take it apart and fix it, and they sent him a new mouse anyway so he got two.... unfortunately this was a couple of years ago that he told me about it... at this moment I cant provide any more information.

I've had a problem with two of my G500 mice. For me what would happen is I'd hold a mouse button to drag a window and while I continued to hold the button, it would act like I let go of it. So I would drag and suddenly drop before I let go of the button. Highlighting was difficult too. And playing games was a problem as well.

Logitech replaced both of my G500 mice (think I bought both from Best Buy originally). So far no problems with either of the replacements.

It was weird that two fairly new mice would have identical problems so close together.
