What are the tangible differences between the 2 when playing say BF2 to me extra buttons don?t matter, isn?t a laser just a laser, does it really help me aim better or? I don?t use a mouse pad I just use the desk, with that would a G5 still help me? Is my in game turning crisper? Sharper? with the G5. I guess I will not know until I try one, wish I could get a loner. I am just having a hard time justifying buying one, everyone says there great and I want to be cool like everyone else and jump on the bandwagon but I can?t image it helping any more. Am I dead wrong and the thing is amazing or is it like $100 Nike shoes they look good but they don?t make you run or jump any faster.? Tell me I am wrong.

Yeah, I loved my first microsoft 5 button optical and it is still going strong on a computer but ever since seeing other people's have wires break and buying myself a mx500, I have been sold on logitech. Also, the extra buttons are a little useful for gaming sometimes but if you start using them as forward and back in the browser, you will wonder how you ever made do without (kind of like the scroll wheel).
