Logitech G5 or Microsoft 5000?

I've been wanting to upgrade to a laser mouse for a while now, and since I just got a $50 VISA gift card for Christmas, the time is right. I have it down to the Logitech G5 or Microsoft 5000.

However, I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I can get the G5 through Amazon for $48.48 including shipping. On the other hand, I could buy a Microsoft 5000 at my local staples for $39, $34 if I care to do a rebate. I've heard a lot of good things about the G5, but nothing about the 5000. Any suggestions?

I'd say the Microsoft Habu is more in line to compete with the G5, of which the G5 would have a slight price advantage over considering the Habu is new.

that review is a bunch of bs, the guy doesn't even understand what you're supposed to use DPI for, he's confusing it for pointer speed vs. accuracy

Might as well get an MX 500 if you believe that review (which is a bunch of misguided fud)

Thanks for the suggestions. I went out yesterday on a quest and wound up getting a MX400 for $40 at BestBuy. Probably could have gotten it cheaper, but oh well. 🙂
