Hi,

Just got the Logitech G5 mouse.
I see that there are two buttons for increase and decreasing the dpi,
do u need that in the game?
will you send it as a hot key?

i do u add weights to the mouse?
I just don't understand why to put weights in? is it when you press a button (like when playing fps as a sniper), you won't move the mouse cursor that easy?

I use a G7, very similar, but wireless and without weights.

The dpi control is useful because high dpi lets you make very large movements very quickly, while low dpi lets you have more fine control of your aim. DPI is also quite important to the feel of the movement. I tried playing on a mouse with a different dpi than what I was used to, and got my ass handed to me because I just could not predict the movements.

Weights are another thing that's just for the feel of the mouse. Completely based on preference, there's no good or bad weight. A heavy mouse will tend to be hard to get going, and hard to stop, so it's good if you're used to using a lot of force to move the mouse. Also a heavy mouse increases the effect of friction sometimes. A light mouse, on the other hand, will only move where you push it, and quickly stop on its own, but that's also the disadvantage because you can't make movements where you simply push it, and it slides over on its own.

I believe the battery in the G7 is something like 18g. Very perfect weight for me, very close to what I'm used to. I used a Logitech Dual Optical previously, which had a weight permanently mounted inside.

for the dpi u use...
when i use the fastest(the top one), it just moves too fast to aim..
and if i use the lowest, which all you know it moves so slow and so little.

so i use the middle one, but seems like my old mouse's setting. my old one was the Logitech MouseMan Optical(wireless)

I now put all the 4.5g weights in. IMHO, it won't slide when i press the fire button. It gives me a better aim when i am a sniper. But after all, i am not a good sniper at all. and after all, i play fps sucks so much.
