Im getting a G27 in a few days and I wanted to know if there are any guides online on how to build your own simple stand to mount the wheel on cause I have no desire to ruin my desk.

I wouldn't mind pics of your own setups 🙂
 
I recently bought a G27 as well and anted to do the same thing. There are a TON of ideas and pictures of DIY stuff people have built at the GTP forums.

i still want to build one like that PVC rig (need to get a seat first). What i did for now was just make a quick stand out of leftover 2x4s and deck floor boards from my deck project. I made a simple triangular wooden stand that the wheel mounts on top of with a side pod for the shifter to mount to. i use a kitchen chair and put the pedals on the floor. This works for now until i get time to make a better one. i don't have pics of it at the moment, but I can take a few when i get home if you want.
