Logitech G15 (new version) vs. Saitek Eclipse II

Hey all,

So I'm deciding which keyboard I want for my new build. The issue is, ideally, I'd like something that will fit (with a mouse) on a 29" tray pullout for my desk.

Does anyone have the *real* length of these two keyboards (or either one)? I don't trust a lot of the figures I read doing a search (dunno if that's box...the actual keyboard, etc.), so I'd prefer some real-world experience here.

I would think the Eclipse II would be a bit smaller then the G15, though the new G15 looks substantially smaller than its predecessor. Help/advice appreciated! (If I could fit the new G15, I probably would.)

I haven't used either, but the width of the new G15 is about 3 inches less than its predecessor, so around 18.5". I don't know if that'll help with your decision.

EDIT: The Saitek II is 19.5 inches wide.

So the available space for your mouse would be...

G15 - 10.5"
Saitek II - 9.5"

WOW! Reverse of what I expected - the new G15's actually smaller? heh. Guess that makes my decision easier then! Thanks!
