I wouldn't call it a waste. Keys are lit much better than the Saitek Eclipse + the G15 has a bunch of programable keys. The LCD is cool even if to show the CPU and RAM usage (especially in games). Although the only game I own that supports the LCD is Brothers- In-Arms: Earned in Blood, I hope more will in the future. Not a Logitech thing- there has to be code for it written into the game. The only bad thig I've read was some are having a problem with the paint coming off the keys although I haven't experienced it yet.
