Dang wish I would have seen this yesterday. Ordered a 360 Wireless headset from my bro ... this would have been a little cooler. Sub $50 seems a good price point for this KB.

Why don't these keyboards come wireless? Wired offers no real performance advantage

true, gaming and wireless is never ideal in the more competitive natured PC game world

although I guess I am somewhat surprised we haven't seen one yet, Logitech has released such products as the G7...and although an illuminated keyboard would drain batteries much faster you could have an option to turn it on/off and worry about it less - although you'd might as well just go with any other wireless keyboard if you're not going to use the lights

meh, I've been deathmatching for years with wireless keyboards/mice... me thinks that the "performance issue" with wireless input devices is just hype. Afterall, look at the nextgen consoles.

Someone really needs to come out with wireless gaming keyboards.

And Ive still got an origional MX Duo...kicks almost as much arse as it did 10 years ago or whatever (or was it 5?). I can still OwnZenat3! Unfortunately it is wearing out after so many years of hard use and abuse, but nobody has sh*t for wireless devices anymore...especially not for the price. The MX Duo was 65$ for the set when it was new. I refuse to spend that much on some gay wired keyboard alone. Seriously, what the hell happened to wireless and why is everything so gosh dang expensive?

Why the hell cant anyone actually make a decent product for a decent price? And make it wireless. And dont give me that crap about batteries, they have gotten better and more powerfull than ever. There is even this new thing nowadays called RECHARGEABLE batteries. Yeah when they get low on juice you plug em in and they magically return to new.

My MX Duo has a docking/recharging station for the mouse...all they would need is a small extension wire to plug into the keyboard or whatever...like WOA! who woulda thought. Instead of a freaking permanent short annoying crappy cluttered cable. Its like all you freaking idiots are saying the house phone is far superior cause it doesnt need batteries or recharging and gets "better reception". Get with the freaking program that crap is 20 years old and there are much better ways of doing things. So you have to plug the dang thing in every now and then to charge OH MY GOD! Its still easier than dealing with the stupid wires.

GARRRR!!!!!!!11!!!!111!!!!1!!!!!one11!!!!!1!!one

i've had a bunch of logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combos. the mice are always fine but when playing games, it's not lag, but the keyboard goes through spells where instead of just doing what i press, (say i hit w, d, d+w and then a or something like that to do some quick moving in counterstrike), it'll end up doing them one by one for a few seconds and taking away control until it like clears itself and then goes back to normal. This almost always results in death.

Ive never had an issue like that, but Im sure they could fix that with a high quality set. Nothing theyve come out with in the last couple years is any better than the old MX Duo Ive got...and I know things have improved alot since then...they just aint using any of it. It sounds like the keyboard itself isnt capable of high number multiple keyboard presses...and that would make some sense as they werent designed for gaming. If they would design one FOR gaming I dont think there would be any problems.

And the dang thing doesnt need to be able to vaccum the house or screw your mom...stop with all that freaking 100$+ bullsh*t...make it a basic keyboard with a volume control and maybe a few extra keys and thats all you need. Make it durable/reliable and inexpensive. 30$ is more than reasonable. And 30$ for the mouse too (if they could do that when the technology started why cant they do that now?). For those people who absolutely have to have sex with their keyboard and have multiple features that dont do crap (like the LCD screen...nice idea IF IT WORKED) well there can be a wired version too.

dr150: how do you get the led backlights and LCD on the G15 power over the wireless connection? You dont. It gets the power from the USB connect.

lol, you must never use any wireless devices before. there are batteries inside wireless keyboards... so are wireless mouses, headsets, and your wireless phones

i'm also wishing for a wireless version. the wire is the only thing stopping me getting this.... been using wireless keboard for years now ;)

I enjoy nightly frag fests on a Logitech Mx duo set up. My only complaint is the aa batteries in the mouse make it heavy, and I have recently added a MX518 wired mouse to the arsenal. (I have been switching back and forth, I don't know which one I like better) If only Logitech would make the 518 with same with same battery as the mx1000. I like the mx1000 weight and battery life, but it has an odd shape and the buttons on the side are goofy.

While I agree that your battery going dead at a bad moment would suck, look at the Lithium Ion battery solution for the G7 mouse. I just got mine for Christmas and I absolutely love it. A battery will charge in 10 hours on normal mode and the mouse lasts for about 15 hours of use.

It comes with 2 batteries so you can cycle them. I suppose if you use your computer for a lot of 15 consecutive hour sessions you may want to buy a third or fourth battery. But you may also want to get a life. :p

The charger sits right on my desk and the total battery change time is less than 5 seconds. So I like my mouse and wouldn't mind a keyboard (I currently have the G15) that used the same system, with preferably the same batteries so I can use the same charger.

EDIT: There's also a "boost mode" for charging that will charge your battery in 2 hours, but it warns that because of the additional power drain it could cause a malfunction of the other USB components currently connected on some computers. I have no idea how many people are able to use boost mode to charge, but sadly I cannot because my USB G15 keyboard goes a little haywire.

After using the wireless Logitech G7 mouse, I can safely say I see NO difference in wired/wireless mice. Might be different for keyboards, though. Anyways, I liked the G5's adjustable weight cartridge, and didn't like worrying about battery life and a set weight for my mouse, so i sold my G7 and bought a G5. I've been using a [wired] Logitech Elite keyboard for >3 years now... love it. :D

Uh, since when did you start plugging your keyboard into your monitor? I for one dont like the hassle of being all tangled up by wires, and if I have my computer a distance from the monitor its even more of a pain. What if I wanted to hook up my my computer to a big LCD in my living room...I dont want to have to drag the couch over to the screen and stare at the bottom 25% cause the cord for the keyboard is to damn short. Theres a ton of reasons wireless is usefull.
