Logitech Elite Keyboard

I dont know if this is 'Technical Support' but i didnt know where else to put it :\

On the Logitech Elite Keyboard ( and most other keyboards ) there are internet and multimedia keys. And with never installing drivers for my keyboard the multimedia and internet keys function properly. However i was curious to see where the bindings for these in the registry would be?

For example the media key opens windows media player, how can i change this to open WINAMP? and have the pause/play/next/back keys to function as well? I know there has to be somewhere in the registry where these keys are bound to by default.

If you know something about this please let me know thanks.

Not sure if Logitech is the same, but on my e-Machines laptop there are buttons for internet, e-mail, search, and multimedia. They used to launch the MS apps until I changed the default handlers to my favorite apps. For example, I set Firefox as my default web browser, Thunderbird as default e-mail client, and WinAmp as default media player. Now the laptop's buttons launch those apps.

id just go ahead and install the logitech drivers. i havent had any problems with them, myself.

plus they let you do things like map the FKeys from crap like 'new reply forward send undo redo' etc etc to f1, f2, f3 etc... thus, even if you dont have that stupid f-lock key on, they still work as Fkeys..

yeah zelmo, but do you have the drivers for that keyboard? cuz i really dotn want to install drivers for the logitech, there has to be another way... D:

I don't think I have special drivers for the laptop keyboard.
More significantly, though, I was just looking at my Logitech keyboard on my desktop and noting the little shortcut keys that I've never used because I don't like to install frivolous drivers. If I push the button for e-mail, I get Thunderbird; the button with a dude in front of a house launches Firefox; the volume buttons really change the system volume. The other multimedia buttons and the one with a dude running don't do anything, and I don't know what they're supposed to do, but it seems like XP sees the buttons and assigns them to your default apps.
