i have this as part of an MX duo. the mouse works fine, but the keyboard is very laggy (noticeable delay after i type the characters out). i tried everything - usb and ps/2, itouch drivers and no drivers, even someone else's elite keyboard.. the lag's still there. what could be the problem??? my best guess is interference, but from what =P

Go ver the sequence of reconnecting again? Press the keyboard, then the reciever's buttons to synch. I'm not an engineer, but it's possibly due to the transmitter in the keyboard causing the lag.

Mine seems to work fine, and I hope you don't mind me piggybacking on your thread, but my mouse (not MX) Comfort Duo seems to flicker every 5-10 seconds after I've powered down my machine. I'm just worried its draining the battery. Would be a pain to take out the battery everytime not in use.

well i tried the sequence a few times.

also, i tried my friend's keyboard which has no lag, so i don't think its the transmitter.

=P

thanks for suggestions though

I too notice the lag on the keyboard, but after about 3 days of using the keyboard, I don't notice it unless I actively try and think about it.

The only time I ever notice it significantly is when I'm trying to use a melee attack in Halo though.

I was referring to the transmitter in your keyboard, not the reciever that attaches to the USB port.

I would call Logitech to see if they're willing to send you a new one, if software fixes does not remedy.

Your reciever is probably too close to some electronics. I had this problem too when i first got my mxDuo. It was simply solved by repositioning the reciever (as the instrucitons say) at least 8" away from any electronics

That would probably explain it.

While there is no lag when I type, I do have the receiver right under and in the middle of a 19" and a 21" CRT monitors.

My MX DUO Keyboard was laggy too! I moved it away from my satelite speakers and off of the desk on to the keyboard drawer and that sovled the lag. I don't know if was the distance from the reciever to the KB or the interferance from the "shieled" ACS-33 speakers that did it.

There should be no lag. Radio waves travel at the speed of light, so the only thing that could be slowing it down is interference, or slow signal processing....

If your receiver is too close to your monitor it will cause lag. (Especially if you have a CRT monitor) Try moving it away from your monitor and see if it doenst fix it.

make sure ot keep reciever close, and in good position. only blue tooth has longer range.
