For anyone contemplating buying the $25 keyboard linked above, it is not, as the ad states, USB compatible. It is PS2/5-pin compatible.
Grrrr.... I emailed overstock.com about this 2 weeks ago, and they still haven't changed their ad. I needed a USB keyboard. I love the cordless optical mouse from Overstock for web browsing (not gaming) type use, however, so I can't complain too much.
And to go briefly OT, I wanted USB because I wanted a cheap & quick way to switch between multiple computers, and I didn't want to invest in a KVM switch. So all my peripherals (including joystick, gamepad, multiple mice, and printer) are hooked into a 7-port USB hub, and every computer has an A/B cable coming out of it that I plug into the hub as necessary (USB being hot-swappable).
I use high-resolution VGA extension cables from computergate.com to switch the video. There is no signal loss, which is an issue with all but the most expensive KVM switches. I am also not arbitrarily limited to 2 or 4 computers; I can basically expand indefinitely. Also, I can hook up a computer to a second monitor quite easily (to monitor email while I play a game, for example), something you can't do with KVM.
Hope that helps somebody.
