Logitech Cordless Mouse Problem With WinME

I installed WinME and whenever I set my mouse speed to the highest setting or a setting higher than 5, it jumps all over the place or just stays in one spot and moves erratically. Anyone know a fix for this? I have the latest drivers for my mouse too.
