I don't have this keyboard/mouse combo, but I have a similar one from Logitech that was also $9.99 after rebate from RadioShack a few weeks ago. The keyboard is great; good tactility, and the special function keys work without any drivers. The mouse is a standard optical mouse, but for $9.99 AR, it's a solid deal.

The disc installs software to check Logitech's website for software updates and new offers. You can opt-out of it. It claims to send info about your OS but no private info and that no info will be distributed outside of their company.

Do you think this is OK?
My firewall reports it's attempts to access the Internet and my AV reports that it is running a strange script.
There doesn't seem to be an option to uninstall it unless Control Panel can do it.
I'm thinking of Uninstalling via Control Panel and reinstalling without installing the backweb feature.

They shouldn't need to know anything about my OS.
They should just notify me of ne driver releases for this product and any new products if I opt in.

It also has some free arcade games download feature that you can opt out of.

The think the rebate printed out with my receipt.
I haven't processed it yet.

Go to the link in the OP, right click on "Mfr. Mail-in Rebate" and select "Save Target As".

It's a pdf file. You need acrobat reader to view it. Acrobat Reader is free from Adobe. I think there's a link on CUSA's site to DL the Reader.

I hate the delete key arrangement, it seems that no reputable KB manufacturer is making a wireless keyboard with a normal Del/pgup/pgdown/insert/home/end config any more. It's so annoying that I switched from a wireless kb with the 'new' config, to a wired one with the old config.
