Recently decided to free myself of wires and go cordless with the mouse and keyboard.

Funny thing is, the cordless mouse doesn't seem to handle "acceleration" too well. I sometimes move pretty fast from screen corner to corner but the cursor just doesn't move in tandem (sorts of freezes in mid step).

Tweaked around the Mouseware settings (upped the speed and checked "Fast" acceleration) but situation doesn't improve significantly and is not as in tune with my movements as the wired mouse. The most stable setting I have found is: maximum speed but no acceleration.

Also read somewhere that Logitech's mouseware program is stabler than Windows. But with ME on my system, should I consider de-installing Mouseware and perhaps try native drivers instead?

I've never used the mouseware, tried to install it in Win2k and it seemed extremely buggy. I've just used the native windows drivers with good luck, so I'd give it a go. I can't say enough good things about my logitech desktop pro (well I wish the mouse had the same range as the keyboard)
