Logitech cordless freedom pro work with another mouse

the mouse of the logitech freedom pro sucks and i was wondering is it possible to switch the mice and use a wireless mouse the microsoft one, i know the reciever is for both the cordless keyboard and the mouse, maybe i can take out the batteries of the mouse and hook up another mouse throught usb the microsoft wireless internet explorer. LMK

I posted the same question a while back as I'm still wondering if I could buy a new logitech wireless optical mouse as a replacement for the regular Cordless Freedom Pro mouse. I don't know if the Cordless Freedom Pro receiver will recognize the new mouse...

In my experience the receiver will not pick up on another mouse 🙁

Well, I just looked at Logitech's site and they have a list of recognized cordless mouse and keyboard products for each receiver.

Sorry, no microsoft products. 😉 Maybe you can compare frequencies or something like that though.
