logitech cordless desktop works erratic

hi! I bought this mouse & keyboard a week ago, and i can't make it works properly... i've tried everything... new batteries, all the combinations with the connect buttons, etc..

when i power on my pc, the keyboard works y ms-dos (i can go to bios, etc) but in the welcome screen of windows, the mouse behaviour is erratic, and when the desktop is shown, neither the mouse nor the keyboard works.

i need help, please.
