Logitech Cordless desktop LX 710 woes

I found a brand new LX 710 laser (keyboard and mouse) in our storage room today. I hooked it up with it's little USB dongle and everything worked.

Except for every now and then the command key (windows key), ctrl, and alt tend to not register when I push them. I can be typing a long just fine and decide to close the window. Hit Command-w and nothing happens. Or command-c just prints c on the screen.

Anyone know if there is an easy fix? It's working fine right now, but I don't know if that will last.

I also installed the Logitech Control Center but it does not detect any logitech devices. The box for the LX 710 says windows only.

I would never have thought to suggest that, goo to hear you got it worked out.

I was going to suggest a full reformat of the hard drive and reinstallation of OSX and all software.

Then I would have asked if the batteries were new. 😉

Well, that was my next suggestion as well. I mean, nuking it from orbit is still the only real way to be sure that you have solved a given problem.
