logitech still hasn't come out with a "cordless MX duo" so i'm wondering if i can pair the mx700 with the cordless comfort duo's receiver so i can have a split keyboard with a good mouse. or does the mx700 require its own receiver? would the mx700's mousing resolution/quality decline?

the other option is to get the microsoft optical desktop pro, but i really want the mx700 without having to deal with two rf receivers.

no it doens't work, i have a cordless freedom and its the same revier as the comfort duo.

I have the MX duo at school and I brought the MX700 back hoping to use it. BUt it won't sync with the reciver

The keyboard probalby sync's with the MX reciver tho, cuz the MX duo keyboard is the same as the one int he elite duo that comes with the same reciever as the freedom

thanks richiez, i figured as much. kinda expensive to buy both cordless comfort and mx duo since logitech doesnt sell a split keyboard alone :\
