Hello fellow AT readers,

I just bought the titled mouse and was wondering if the thing ever turns off. I've set it upside down on my desk for 20 minutes without moving it, and so far I haven't noticed the light ever turning off. I'm wondering if this would affect the battery life adversely. Does anyone have any experience with this or other cordless optical mice? Does the light turn off eventually if the mouse is unused? I appreciate any input anyone might have. Thanks!

P.S. How's the battery life on these?

P.P.S. Unfortunately, I'm using an CDROM-less laptop right now, so I can't RTFM. Thanks!

My Logitech cordless mouse never turns off either.

Batteries last a good long time, 4-5 months I beleive.

Thanks for replying Marc. I found out that the light does indeed turn off after a long while, if it's right side up. I think if the sensor senses no movement, then it will turn off after awhile. When it's upside down, it can still sense changes in light, shadows, or me moving around. So, now I know!
