logitech controller drivers

ok im am having one hell of a time finding a third party program that will let me configure my controller so that each of the buttons corresponds to a button on the keyboard...i am running windows 7 and am using the logitech chillstream gamepad (x box style controller)

should you configure the game instead so it responds to a pad on the game controller? then trying to setup the game controller to emulate keys on the keyboard?

Or did u run into one of those games which your pad isnt supported with?

Using the Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2, the software allows me to do this (Logitech Profiler).

its just the videoboy advanced. i tired of using the arrow buttons and keys on my laptop so i thought i could just set up the logitech controller to hit those buttons for me...also freeware would be preferable and im running windows 7 so it would have to be compatible
