Ok so i picked up a MX 500 from Frys (since i accidently cut the cord of my old one to make a Dakota camera cable). It works fine initally but i go off to school and bam like a week of use its just dead. So im like "NP ill call up the friendly ppl at Logitech and get a new one by the end of next wek or something".

I first go and pickup a Microsoft "blue" mouse and then make the phone call.

It went like this:

/random TT dialing to get to the right service rep.

-logitech- " ello dees is Rowger how may I elp you today" (I wont do any more of this type of writing but you get the point)

me- " hi *Roger* this pos MX500 mouse broke on me for no apparent reason, and im too far away to return it to the store so I wasnt a replacement from Logitech."

-ok so after getting over our lingustics hurdle "roger" decided to send me a new mouse (yay) so i gave him my address.

- about 2 weeks later I get a letter saying that the mouse is "backordered" and I have the option of "continueing to wait" or somethign completely asinine.... I chose to wait so i checked off the approprate option and waited.

in about a week I got anohter post card stating that they have recieved my letter and will ship out ASAP.
So i kinda forgot about it. Just about a half a week ago I get a random package delivered by a toothless DHL guy. Im like "wtf i didnt order anything" but my name was on it I then see the Logitech label and am all like "w00t my MX600 finally"

I open it up and its a "Optical wheel mouse with two count em two glorious buttons"

Never again will i buy Logitech...

ok now let me throw in a timeline here

Mouse Breaks = Middle Aug
Letter 1 = Late Aug
Letter 2 = Early Sept
Product = Late Oct

 
That kinda sucks. I have used many og Logitechs producst including their mice and have never had any problems. Alot of times those support guys are pretty stupid though..lol
 
my mx700's charging unit broke, and they sent me a new mx700 in box, so now i have 2 mx700s and one working charging unit 🙂

I had to RMA one of my Microsoft mice. It had that doubleclick problem. They sent me a replacement rather quickly, and I've had no problems with the new one. Also, sorry to hear about that Slappy00, but... I love my Logitech keyboard. 🙂

Oh yeah, I would bitch about getting a crappy replacement.

I don't think he wants less than 2 buttons, but rather MORE than 2 (like the MX500 has).
 
ur story doesn't jive. 1 week? you return to the store. sounds like u just cut the cable for the camera and tried ot get a new one.
