Logitech 851766 Mouse Problem

My first post. Sorry if the topic name and message title are incorrect. I searched the threads and I was advised to start a new topic. I'm using the Logitech wireless mouse, and I'm having a problem cutting and pasting using CTRL-C and CTRL-V. When I cut and paste through excel, the highlighting remains on the cells I move to, almost like the ClickLock is on (but it's not!). I've reset the connection, plugged in a wired mouse, and all this still happens. I've been told it's a mouse issue but I've changed batteries and done everything I can and it still happens. It doesn't happen all the time but once or twice a day, I'll have to friggin click 3 times on a cell just to be able to enter the input.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated. One love.
