z-5300 are great. thx certified and has a crazy subwoofer. the only downside is that it is analog only. i dont mind. you can find them for $110. i saw them at amazon for around there.

oh my god. settign power dvd to spdif solved ALL MY PROBLEMS. THANK YOU FORUMS SO MUCH.

I kept setting it to pro media II cause i could not figure how how to get it to decode on teh soundcard itself and i wanted a analogue connection to hooke my z680s into my audigy 2zs.

Now I can keep it on 6 channel direct and the soundcard does all the work adn it's real 5.1

WOOOO

I've got the 680's and I love em.

There is a slight hiss, but only noticeable if you are right next to it.

Mine are all wall mounted.

I say go for it!

get the brand new Z 5500s theya re the new and impreoved 680s.. they are a little more but they are Klipsch killers now with a real 10in sub and kick ass highs and mids...

idiot, 10 inch sub just adds to the boomingness of the sub, logitech is known for unrealistic/boomy subs.

you don't notice any hiss unless you put your ear within a few inches of a speaker, rattling is obviously cause the sub is powerful enough to rattle stuff in your room. i have em and love em, especially for the price

i'm thinking of purchasing a z680 set and a chaintech av710 to match them. after reading this thread, makes me want to get them even more. i was thinking 5300, but for $86 more, u can get 220 watts extra. would be future proof for me (a high schooler)

i have the 680's and i thinik they are amazing, but i have two gripes, one when the speaks are idle there is a hissing noise, and secondly i wish they were louder, but the sound is cristal clear driven my my sb audigy1 in 6 chan direct

Mine hiss a bit but were a good upgrade from my Z-640s. I have them hooked up digitally to my Audigy2.
