Hey all,

I just moved and reinstalled my 5.1 z-5500 5.1 surround sound speakers back in. However, there are two problems. 1: The controller won't stay on..the power button stays red, and not blue like it normally does. Also there is this black line from the left to the right side of the digital screen that won't go away. 2: The obvious one.. no music plays. I already did the stuff in the control panel that I found in various forums online to try and fix the problem. The only two things I can think of are that firstly, perhaps a fuse is blown somewhere..but then why would I bet getting any power to the device at all? Or secondly, I used other speakers on this computer before putting these ones back in, so there could be some sort of driver issue. Any ideas of what I could do?

Are you certain everything is connected correctly?

Yes i checked and double checked. the pos and neg wires are in the sub. correctly, the greeen orange ands black wires are all in secure, and the serial cable from controller to sub is also in, and the sub is connected to power. I have another pair of 2.1's that im going to try n see if those work.. if they work then its obv. the speakers, not the comp
