Logisys cf206 vs. Zalman vf700

Just wondering if anyone has been within hearing range of both. I know that the zalman is supposed to be quiet, but haven't found anything definitive about the logisys or whether it has a variable speed fan, don't think it does though. It's a little cheaper than the al-cu zalman so i'm interested, if it's quiet.

Can't speak for the logisys, but I've got a Zalman vf700cu and it's REAL quiet. I'm pretty AR when it comes to annoying sounds, and I have to say, vf700 will make you happy if you want quiet. I was considering getting the Silencer line instead of the Zalman, but I was told they make a light motor noise, which would have driven me insane.

I ordered myself the vf700-alcu. It's supposed to be here on Tuesday then i'll get to see how it is, there's no way it can be louder than this hair dryer on the 6600gt.

I'm sure you'll be a happy camper, I installed mine on Saturday and it was easy to install, is quiet, and gave me the chance to confirm that I do indeed have an R360 core 🙂

I got my zalman today and it's great. I put it on my xfx 6600 agp and it's running in silent mode, silently, and keeps my card 5c cooler idle and load compared to before. Only think is i think i might have somehow killed one of the dvi outs in the process 🙁.

you were able to fit the ram sinks with the vf there? people have had to shave off some of their ram sinks

Actually, I had read about that problem before I bought it and didn't even bother trying to put them on. With the newest drivers my fps difference in hl2 and doom 3 is negligible with the card overclocked, I mainly bought the hs for quiet. It didn't look like they would have fit though.
