I have a network setup here with computer hooked to a HUB. I am using MS ICS. When I login to a CS Server from my host machine, it displays my network IP(Ex. 192.168.0.1) instead of my provider IP (ISP). I thought you ISP IP was supposed to display on login to a CS server? Anyway to fix this??

Also, after playing on a CS server, I quit for a bit and try to join another server. The intialization screen moves slow and I time out. It doesn't connect to the CS server that I am trying to connect to. These 2 problems may be related, but I am not sure. Any idea on why this happens?

Thanks!!

RoninCS, I am not acutally hosting a server here, rather trying to join other CS servers where I see the network IP(192.168.0.1) listed on the startup. I am using a HUB as well, not a router if that makes a difference. :) Any other comments/suggestions?

The game is Half-Life, not CS, but bah..

I tried doing that, and ran into problems with certain servers. I guess WON doesn't like the altered IP or something, but I never saw the harm in having your real IP shown. If you have to go into a Half-Life game log to get someone's IP, you're pathetic.

That is not what I am talking about. 192.168.0.1 is a network IP address that any1 can use if they have a network. No one is stealing IP's here. :D It used to show my reap IP address and does not anymore. I was trying to find a way to fix that.

Yes, CS is a mod of Half-Life.

my network password is displayed also, but I don't have any problems with it. So your first problem isn't really a problem in my eyes.
