Logic Question?

If 93% of the population works, and lets say for argument sake that 85% of those are sometime between 8-6, why are most stores (small towns) open between that time and not later at night wouldnt it be more logical to be open when everyone is not working, are the 7% of the unemployed population doing all of the shopping?

Stores are open when people are AT WORK. What do you think the people runnign the stores are doing?

If stores started being open later, people would be at work later.

And far less than 93% of the population works.

1) some people work nights, or afternoon-night shift 2pm - 11pm
2) some people work part time at differnet times of the day
3) most stores are busy adn get most of the buisness on the weekends
4) people shop on their lunch hour
5) The unemployed only consist of people looking for a job and cant find one, there are Homemakers that dont count as unemployed that have hte oppurtunity to shop all day.
6) the 10 percent that are unemployed buying stuff during the day
7) most people are tired to go shopping after work all day

thats why its logical to be open during the normal times and not later
