Logi LX700 or Gyration GT Combo

I'm currently using a dell wireless desktop combo and I can't say one negative thing about it except for the noisy keyboard ... what happened to dell quiet key!

also i suppose the buttons could be a little more comprehensive and work a little better with MCE (or allow more programmability)

I've been looking at the LX700 duo (logitech) and the gyration GT suite and I can't really decide which one is better.

i kinda like the gyration aspect of the mouse, but it's lacking in button features (which the logitech definitely has)

the other thing that looked very appealing is the new lx1000 laser mouse ... is there a keyboard combo that incorporates this mouse?

i realize this is a matter of preference more than anything else, but does anyone have either and any comments pro/con for either?

does anyone have any other keyboard/mouse combinations that they would recommend

features i'm looking for:
1. quiet/unobtrusive (nothing too flashy or noisy)
2. programmable buttons
3. some way to control the mouse with the keyboard
4. tiny gyroscopes

thanks a bunch

I am pretty sure that there is a combo with the mx1000. I could have sworn I saw it at Best Buy when i worked there. I have the MX1000 mouse and hands-down it is the best. I would never buy a wireless mouse except for this one.

i have the gyration, and i must say that it's not impressive as a main keyboard/mouse set.
it's great as a secondary set if you do presentations or wanna sit further back for whatever reason..

but the cons:
the battery doesn't last the rated 6 months (I'd even be happy if it was 1 month)

after using the mx900 as my main mouse, the gyration mouse feels reaaally uncomfortable as an optical mouse (although that's obviously because of the gyration design and whatnot)

even with brand spanking new energizer batteries, i can't seem to get it to go past 8 or 9 feet, but it's supposed to be good for 25 feet.

it also doesn't have a numpad, so if you do any number crunching, then this might be an issue

in conclusion, i do like it as a secondary set good for certain purposes, i don't find it adequate as a main set.

sounds good ... ther was a deal for the mx1000 for $50, deciding whether i should swithc over to the logitech side ... though i've hard the dell wireless package is just rebranded logitech so maybe not switching over after all...

thanks for the help
