Log out or remain logged in?

Generally, I never log out when I leave the forums. Is this OK or is it preferable to log out before leaving?

I think he is asking if it is okay to remain logged in even when your not on the forums. I do and have never had a problem with it, but I would liek to know also.
 
I do it, and so far nobody has banned me. 😉

Seriously, the only drawback I can see is that other members may expect that if you are logged in, you may be actually available, and they might get annoyed when you fail to respond to their PMs.

I pretty much do it all the time also and I've never heard any complaints or had any problems doing so.
 
The other thing to consider is the machine and its availability to others. At home, I have no concerns with staying logged in.

At work it is a different story. My friends at work have good sense of humours and they might enjoy playing a joke on me. Like posting something stupid under my name and making me look like an idiot. Actually I do that pretty well myself 🙂

As a result, I always lock my machine or logout when I am at work.
