Should be about the same. I liked the Loctite, it applied pretty easy with 1 bristle off a paintbrush.

Conductive pens blob too much or too little out and dry up. That is not their purpose, as they are a circuit writer for longer traces. I got two from radio shack and they didnt work well at all. I went back to loctite and toothpicks.

HB pencil lead worked fine for me so far :)

just make sure the bridges are clean before you try and connect them

If you have quick hands then use Loctite(it dries very quickly with the toothpick method), works well and rubbing alcohol cleans it easily if you make a mistake.

Are there any pics to show where to draw/how to draw the marks? (and where can you get Loctite?

I bought my Loctite at Pep Boys, the car parts place.
It comes in a little copper-colored bottle. It is
marked as a rear-window defroster repair kit. I used
the blunt end of a small sewing needle to apply mine.
