Loctite Alternative

There are no auto parts stores in my area carrying the Loctite Repair Kit. AutoZone, however, has Permatake's (spelling?) brand.

Whould this be just as good?

is it for the same purpose? I mean, for fixing the defogger? If it is, then it should be good, another cheaper method, which I just read a couple of minutes ago is to do the pencil trick then apply small tape to it to make it permanent. Sounds like a good idea, though I haven't tried it.

I used Permatex brand from Pep Boys, same thing just diferent brand, works fine. As long as its made to reconnect broken defoger grid lines it will work, the right kit should have a bottle of the conductive paint, small paint brush and mine have a little stencil for the grid line, too big for chip use though.
