Lockups on upgraded system

Hi all,
I recently upgraded my PIII 450 on a BX6-2 to an ASUS CUSL2-c with PIII 1Ghz.
Running Win98 SE
I have 2 sticks of Hyundai 128Mb pc133 ram and when I boot it usually locks or blue screens on me.

If I remove a stick the system runs totally stable for hours running Tribes2 and whatever else I throw at it.

I then tried with the other stick on its own and that is stable too.

When I put both in I get the lockups!
The system sees the ram and checks ok at post.
I am using them in slot 1 and 2 (I think)

I only have a 250w power supply so could this cause it?? I wouldn't think 1 extra stick would hurt it. I actually ran the same 2 sticks for 256 Mb on the BX6-2 without a problem (underclocked@pc100)

Any help at all appreciated.

strange, did you try switching the sticks around when you only had one running? maybe one of them is bad? have you tried 2 totally different sticks and see if that happens?
also do you have the latest patches/updates for windows and your periphials?

Yeah I have tried each stick individually and they both work perfectly.

Just when I combine them it screws everything up.

Maybe I should try slot 1 and 3 or 2 and 3 ?

Could the extra stick use more power??

Have all latest updates, bios etc.

I did try it with 1 Hyundai and 1 no name and it would boot up and run for about 5 - 10 minutes. I assumed it was the no name so I swapped it for another Hyundai so they are both identical now.
