Lockups caused by unused power connector :)

Hey guys--

Funny story--for about a week, I've been having problems in IL-2 with graphic corruptions and other crap. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out what was causing the problems. I tried drivers, reinstalling, etc. with no luck. Well I finally looked inside my case and there, wedged between my network card and my radeon 8500, was an unused power connector, stuck in the 8500's fan! Pulled'er out and all of a sudden, everything works fine. Pretty damn funny. Just my little story (not as good as the guy throwing water on his motherboard though and starting a fire--that's a CLASSIC).

Was it ever!!! Oh, you should've seen it. Search for something like "my computer set on fire" or something. It should only be a few pages deep, actually, although it is locked now.

It is DEFINITELY worth a read! It proves what a combination of operator error and cocaine can do! 😉

ROTFLMAOPIMP. Just spent the last hour reading that thread... hehe, now some other posts I've read recently make more sense. I could see this guy dropping a match in his gas tank then blaming Amoco gas for being too flammable, then becoming a Shell/Sunoco/whatever zealot.

LMAO Taylor, zip ties, tape, velcro are all coming to mind for you and your computer. I foresee a bondage date, appropriately unplugged 🙂😀:Q😛
