Lockup whenever there is a phone call??????

Hi.. I have a splitter for my phone line, one goes to a phone and one goes to my computer, and out to another phone with answer machine. And lately whenever there is a call coming in, my computer just freezes.

Does anyone have the same problem?? (this has never happened before.. it started happening after I installed Win2k)

My spec:
P3 450 on Asus mb
voodoo3500tv
sb live! 5.1 xgamer
128ram..

Is your answering machine plugged into the line leaving your computer modem or off the splitter? You may want to replace the splitter too.

Maybe your computer has had too many calls from telemarketers.

The phone with answering machine is off the line from my modem..
I don't understand how a phone call could freeze my computer..
