My mom is in the hospital and has to have her second by-pass monday morning. We are driving down (denver-houston) tomorrow morning but i can not find her house key. the thing is if something happens between now and monday morning no locksmith would open her house to me. at least i dont think they would.

but if i get a number to a locksmith and have her call to give permission, would they still let me in?

With her permission in writing maybe, or perhaps a power of attorney will do. Why not just break in?

You would be supprised how easy social engineering is. I don't believe it would be that difficult to talk one into letting you in.
