locks up when web browsing or telnet... help....

using win 98 SE, DSL, and recently started to lock up
sometimes when telnet or web browsing. (no prob at
all when playing 3D games, so i eliminate hardware
problems). could this be the problem of my syslink
ethernet card? it is fairly new.


please someone help me, i hate lock up, ...

one more thing: i noticed the machine on campus which are
using the same kind connection as mine, also lock up sometimes when i web browsing. could this be kind of bug
of the ethernet connection....
