Picked this up for $20 at Target last night. Haven't played a flight sim in years, and when I dragged out my old force feedback joystick I found it had a game port connector on the end! Installed and took a quick tutorial flight. Looks pretty sweet, but I definitely need a joystick. Any recommendations for a not-so-expensive stick? General recommendations for learning to fly in this thing?

My joystick also has a gameport connector. I gave it to my daughter since it is completely useless on a modern computer. :)

Since there aren't many flight sims/space flight sims out now, I haven't seen many new joysticks on the market. I ended up buying an adapter for my PS2 controller for $5, and I used that controller for my games. Not as good as a real joystick, but still better than using the keyboard.

I ordered a $25 Logitech today, we'll see how that does. Used to have a CH Flightstick back in the day, but I'm not ready to drop that kind of cash on a sim I've never played with before :).

Yeah well as cool as this sim is I may do that. Now if I can just get the throttle on my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro working.
