Locking threads without links to examples...

I had a thread closed recently with this message:

Asked and answered several times in myriad threads. Locked.

I searched high and low for said threads, and found nothing--apparently search is still broken. But if a thread is going to be locked for this reason, is it too much to ask that links to said "myriad thread" be provided? I was going to post a followup and discovered it was locked.

It was a fallout thread, so I would guess KT didn't bother linking to the fallout NV threads because they're easy to find.

Didn't take me long to find. They mention steam only in that thread.

Fair enough, but its not mentioned in the title and only goes into Steam on page 2. Am i supposed to keep track of threads that go off-topic too? Also, from KTs comment i was led to believe that there were so many that the front page should have been replete with "steam" and "fallout" threads.

The question was already anwered in the original thread, plus if you had not seen the answer, you very easily could have posted in that thread asking the question. Furthermore, your question had already answered in your own thread and was likely to just turn into another Steam/Anti-steam war, which we've had enough of there. On top of that, it is not my job to search for you.

If you have a problem with it, take it to mod discussions and the powers that be can make a final decision.
