I am task to put a w2k pro WS in front office for guest to view our web site and some marketing BS.
The workstation will not connect to our internet network, it will run by its own dsl line. so Group policy is out.
and company don't want guest to have any other access besites IE (no control panel, start menu, my computer, etc)
and the only Icon on the Desktop is IE and what ever BS powerpoint files.
Does anyone know any software can do that?

Internet Explorer has a KIOSK option. You may want to look into that.

Also, Policy editing would be the way to go to lock the PC down.
If any changes need to made at a later date, it is easier than editing the Registry.

Yup mmc or gpedit.msc does the trick. I just setup a network for a local biz and they needed 2 terminals that only had access to MS Word and IE and I was able to lock out users from admin tools, networking, control panel and even shutting down the computer. You can even keep the admin account with full access incase you have to make changes later.
