Lockheed Martin Job Interviews

Has anyone interviewed with Lockheed Martin? I will most likely be having 2nd round interviews w/ them in 2 weeks and I'm curious how the interviews are.

I'm sure it's unique to each hiring manager, but I'm looking for a general idea or even just your story.

The position is an entry-level optical engineering position, for which I will need to get security clearance. Location is California.

Thanks!

i have a friend who works there. they interview you and do a lot of background checks.

my friend is chinese, even though hes been here a loooooooong time and he's a US Citizen, they did multiple background checks on him and kept calling the references. they do have a great company dont get me wrong, but since they're government contractor they check people worse than they do at the DoD.

He was hired and they needed to do more checks, and was put on BS assignments until the checks all cleared. but now he likes it.

My friend was interviewed (flown in) ... c/p from him

"Expect the usual questions, like 'What do you plan to do 5 years from now?', the teamwork questions, and the 'strength and weakness' questions. Since Lockheed Martin does lots of government contracts, be prepared for the 'What is the lifecycle of a project?' question, too. If you go to their recruiting center, expect numerous interviews one right after another. Hope that helps."

Yeah, that does help. Thanks. I've only had one engineering interview before so it's unfamiliar territory. I need to study a lot for this position.
