I don't really care that it was locked, but I'm confused as to why.

Where would I post it? I figured it would get locked in OT for being a "babe thread" or moved to L&R for the same reason, so I posted it in L&R.

or are we not allowed to ask who people are?

L&R is for love and relationship questions. Asking who some random girl 'is' is neither a love or relationship question.
