It's by (in)famous iPhone and PS3 jailbreaker Geohot. (Funny comment from one of the threads: "Honestly, seeing him doing something on a GS5 really drives home the point that Samsung has become the Apple of Android.") Let's see how much of that $18k bounty he actually collects.

Looks like it does work for all Note 3 builds.

Thinking of using it on my Note 10.1, because I have no interest in actually flashing a full ROM.

Verizon Note 3.

Unrooted and went back to 4.3, took OTA to 4.4.2 NC4 and rooted with Towel Root.

Power of Android.

It wasn't working on the Note III at first, then geohot kajiggered something and it worked.

Yeah the AT&T Note 3 forum is pretty stoked - luckily I never took the OTA to 4.4.2 but I wonder if there's any advantage in doing now before installing SS.

No the bootloader is not unlocked, but yes we do have Safestrap.
