Locked out of laptop, Bios Password?

Someone decided to play a prank with me and put a Bios password. Does anyone know a work around to this? I know if I can find the Cmos battery, I could cross the contacts and reset the bios, but I was wondering if there is a easier way since this is a laptop. Model is a Acer 3003 with a Phoenix Bios.
