My mom left her keys inside her 2005 Corolla, and forgot to take them out before locking it :( Any ideas on how I can open it? Who do you call when this thing happens? The dealer, or a locksmith?

Break the window like that guy in the video that stole everything from cars in a casino.

Does she have the valet key at home somewhere? I don't know if they give those out anymore..but it'd be cheaper than a locksmith.

Doesn't Toyota have a roadside assistance program on new cars? Should be free.

I would check on that and if you have window open try a coat hanger.

Slim Jim might not work on the newer cars since they usually put a plate over the locking mechanism thingy now. You have a few options:

1. Call AAA
2. Get key from dealer ($30)
3. See if you can pull back the window and use a coathanger (only works if your keys aren't in the ignition)
4. Bash the window open
5. Buy a new car

Too bad you didn't buy a domestic. You could put a coat hanger through the weather seal to reach the power lock. ;)

<- had to do that on a 89 caravan. :D

That works on just about every car before 1995 :) Or at least on a 95 Camry and a 95 'Teg

roadside assitance with your cell plan? mine covers flats/towing/gas/lockouts

i usually use a coathanger if one is handy, pry open the door just enough to slide it in if the window isnt cracked.

I couldn't use a coat hanger on my '99 sable... I had to use a yardstick with a pencil eraser attached to the end.
